Dr. Ghaith Al-refai

Dr. Ghaith Al-refai is an assistant professor at the German Jordanian University (Amman, Jordan), in the department of Mechatronics and Artificial Intelligence. He finished his PhD and master’s in electrical and computer engineering from Oakland University (Rochester, MI, USA). He finished his bachelor’s in electrical and electronics engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology (Irbid, Jordan). Dr. Ghaith has nine years of experience in the automotive industry from USA as systems and electrical engineer. During his industrial career, he worked at Robert Bosch, Clarion, ZF and Magna Electronics. Most of his experience is in the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving technology. Dr. Ghaith research area of interest is in AI, computer vision, machine learning for autonomous driving applications, image processing and control systems.
