GIZ has been working in Jordan for over 40 years, and opened its office in the capital of Amman in 1979. It operates on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the European Union (EU).
GJU has been involved in many projects funded by GIZ.
