Prof. Iyas Khader
Biography
Prof. Iyas Khader is a Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering. He earned his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2010. His current research is in the field of tribology and focuses on wear analysis of engineering ceramics and modeling hydrogen diffusion in tribological contact. He has extensive experience in finite element modeling, especially, wear simulations, mechanical contact analysis, coupled thermomechanical analysis and simulations of diffusion processes. Prof. Khader has long collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials, Freiburg, Germany.
