Dr. Nader Santarisi
I hold a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the United States and have devoted more than three decades to higher education, engineering practice, institutional excellence, quality assurance, consulting, and leadership.
Since commencing my academic career at the University of Jordan in 1993, I have served in a wide range of academic and administrative positions, including Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Chairman of the Industrial Engineering Department, Assistant Dean, Director of Quality Assurance (at the University of Jordan Level), consultant, expert, and engineer.
Throughout my career, I have sought to bridge the gap between academia and professional practices. In addition to teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate students, I have designed and delivered numerous consultancy projects, training programs, and workshops for universities, government entities, excellence-award programs, industrial organizations, and private-sector institutions across the region. These experiences have enabled me to develop a broad perspective on organizational excellence, strategic management, performance improvement, and engineering innovation.
I was honored to serve as Head of the Board of Examiners for the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence in 2006 and as a Senior Assessor for the Dubai Government Excellence Program. These roles provided me with valuable opportunities to evaluate, benchmark, and promote best practices in organizational performance and institutional excellence.
Between July 2009 and July 2020, I worked with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) as an Expert and CEO Advisor. During this period, I participated in numerous strategic, operational, and organizational engineering initiatives within one of the region's most advanced and dynamic government organizations. The experience significantly enriched my professional knowledge and enhanced my ability to integrate academic principles with real-world applications and large-scale organizational challenges.
In October 2020, I joined Applied Science Private University as a faculty member in the Industrial Engineering Department. Between August 2022 and July 2026, I have served as an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in the United Arab Emirates.
