The German Jordanian University (GJU) and the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) signed a cooperation agreement aimed at insuring students against cancer by subscribing to the Cancer Care Insurance program that guarantees that the costs of cancer treatment at KHCC are covered immediately and without any waiting period in the event of infection, God forbid.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the GJU by its president, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, and on behalf of the Foundation, its general director, Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish.

Prof. indicated that the agreement came from the GJU's keenness to provide integrated health care and services to its students, praising the efforts of the National Foundation to Fight Cancer in Jordan and the countries of the region.

For her part, Mrs. Qatamish stressed that the GJU's adoption of the program is a crucial step that can be built upon within a continuous process, ensuring that every member of society has universal health coverage, expressing her hope that GJU will be an encouraging example for other educational institutions to join the program.
