The “Doing Good, Growing Strong” Project, implemented in partnership between Brunel University London and the German Jordanian University (GJU), held two focus group discussions on developing a national framework for accrediting social impact organizations in Jordan, as part of its efforts to advance the social and solidarity economy in the Kingdom.
The sessions were facilitated by Dr. Farah Al-Taji and Ghufran Abu Dyyeh, bringing together leaders, experts, and representatives of relevant stakeholders, with support and contributions from the Jordan Strategy Forum, including H.E. Mrs. Nesreen Barakat.
Participants discussed key aspects of the proposed framework, including accreditation standards, incentives, governance, and implementation mechanisms, while exchanging expertise and perspectives on developing a clear and effective framework that responds to the needs of social impact organizations in Jordan and contributes to strengthening cooperation and knowledge exchange among them.
The outcomes of the two sessions will help guide the next phase of the project’s work on developing the national framework, drawing on the findings of the Social and Solidarity Economy Policy Report published in January 2026. The outcomes will also support translating research findings and stakeholder contributions into practical recommendations for advancing relevant policies.
The proposed framework aims to strengthen the recognition and credibility of social impact organizations, support them, and enhance their role within Jordan’s social and solidarity economy ecosystem.
