The German Jordanian University (GJU) and the heirs of the esteemed architect Jaafar Toukan have formalized a memorandum of understanding, marking the donation of his library to the university. This generous contribution is intended to enrich the academic pursuits of science and graduate students, as well as members of the architectural and design community.

Outlined in the memorandum, signed by GJU President Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli and Eng. Randa Jaafar Touqan on behalf of the late architect's heirs, are the details of the donation, which include over 2,500 books, references, and rare volumes from the personal collection of the deceased. These resources will be allocated for utilization within the School of Architecture and the Built Environment (SABE), dedicated to the instruction of architecture and interior architecture.

Prof. Al-Halhouli extended gratitude to the family of the late architect for this significant gesture, reflecting on Jaafar Toukan's scholarly and practical contributions across numerous Arab and international contexts. Regarded as an architectural luminary and a prominent figure in modern Arab architecture, Toukan's legacy continues to resonate globally.

In response, Toukan expressed optimism that these donated materials will enhance the educational landscape within the university, serving as invaluable resources for students and researchers alike, while also honoring the memory and achievements of the late architect.
