Masar Al-Othamneh, a student at the School of Architecture and Built Environment at the German Jordanian University (GJU), secured third place in the iSustain Awards under the supervision of architect Leen Fakhoury. This achievement reflects GJU students’ creativity and their ability to develop innovative ideas in sustainable architectural design.

The iSustain Awards aim to encourage innovation in architectural design and inspire university students across Jordan to develop solutions to challenges facing the built environment, in line with contemporary environmental and urban development requirements.

The Dean of the School of Architecture and Built Environment, Dr. Farah Al-Atrash, highlighted the importance of students’ participation in specialised architectural competitions, noting that they provide valuable opportunities to nurture talent, refine skills, and strengthen creative abilities. She also emphasised the School’s commitment to supporting students’ creative work and encouraging them to excel and compete in specialised forums.

GJU congratulated Masar Al-Othamneh and architect Leen Fakhoury on this achievement, wishing them continued success and excellence in future competitions and their respective professional fields.
