The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a celebration on the occasions of the fifty-sixth anniversary of the Battle of Karama and Mother's Day with the participation of GJU’s President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, GJU’s academic and administrative staff and its students.  

Prof. Al-Halhouli pointed out During the ceremony the importance of communicating the idea of the Battle of Karama and its objective to the young generation, emphasizing that Jordan is a strong country with the leadership and directives of its King His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, people, army and its security apparatus, recalling the leader of the Battle, the late His Majesty King Hussein bin Talal.

For her part, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Thelal Oweis, pointed out that the battle is a part of the history of the Almoravid nation and an advanced station in the history of the Arab Army, the heir to the Army of the Great Arab Revolt and the heir to the armies of conquest in the ancestral battles in Yarmouk, Hittin and Mutah.

The ceremony included poetry segments that spoke about Jordan, the king and the army, and the presentation of videos for the Battle of Karama
