The German Jordanian University (GJU), in cooperation with the Directorate of Private Education at the Ministry of Education, organized the second forum for public and private school principals in the Kingdom. The event was attended by GJU President, Prof. Alaaldeen Al-Halhouli, as well as the deans of various faculties. It was held alongside the GJU 3030 “Future Technology” Competition, which the university organized for school students.
The forum aimed to strengthen frameworks of cooperation between the university and schools, and to develop communication channels that support students and guide them toward academic disciplines that align with labor market needs and future demands.
During the meeting, Prof. Al-Halhouli welcomed the visiting delegation, emphasizing the importance of strategic partnerships with educational institutions at the school level and their pivotal role in shaping students’ awareness and guiding them toward well-informed academic and career paths. He also highlighted the university’s commitment to enhancing integration with the public education sector through introductory and applied programs that connect higher education with development needs and the labor market.
In this context, the deans of the university’s faculties delivered presentations introducing their colleges and academic programs, explaining the nature of the offered specializations, their future prospects, and the university’s role in promoting applied education by linking theoretical knowledge with practical implementation in line with modern technological advancements.
The forum also included a field tour for the delegation, featuring visits to the Technology, Research, and Innovation Park, the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship, and the university library. Participants were introduced to the university’s modern educational environment and its applied and research projects, expressing their admiration for the facilities and resources that support student creativity and innovation.
GJU affirmed that this ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Education comes within the framework of supporting the educational process and enhancing academic guidance for pre-university students, enabling them to make more informed and effective educational and career decisions.
