The German Jordanian University (GJU) participated in the First Jordanian Educational Exhibition (SJE – Student Jordan Expo 2026), held in Aleppo, the Syrian Arab Republic, for two days, with the participation of several Jordanian higher education institutions.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Jordan’s Ambassador to Damascus, Dr. Sufian Al-Qudah, who emphasized the important role of Jordanian universities in strengthening their academic standing and attracting Arab and international students. He also highlighted the Embassy’s role in supporting the promotion and academic recruitment of Syrian students and building on the cultural and educational cooperation between Jordan and Syria.
Representing GJU were Hamzah Abu Orabe from the Public Relations and Marketing Department (PRMD) and Eng. Saif Al-Zyoud from the Industrial Engineering at the School of Applied Technical Sciences (SATS). They provided students, parents, and higher education stakeholders with information about the University’s academic programs, admission and registration requirements, and the GJU study experience.
The delegation also introduced visitors to the German Year Program, which enables students to spend an academic year in Germany combining academic study with practical training, in addition to highlighting the international opportunities available to GJU students.
The GJU booth witnessed engagement from students and parents, who explored the University’s academic programs and opportunities and raised questions about studying at GJU.
GJU’s participation in the exhibition reflects its efforts to promote its academic programs and educational model, as well as the opportunities it offers students to study and undertake practical training in both Jordan and Germany.
