The German Jordanian University (GJU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pillars Engineering Company to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry and advance industrial innovation, applied research, and technology transfer.

The MoU provides for exploring opportunities to implement joint research and development projects, deliver technical consultancy services, provide student training, and develop engineering solutions and technological applications to address industrial challenges.

GJU President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, emphasised the importance of building strategic partnerships with the private sector to leverage academic expertise in support of industry, provide students with practical learning opportunities, and translate research outcomes into industrial applications that support economic development.

This collaboration forms part of GJU’s efforts to advance applied research and foster innovation through its Technology, Research and Innovation Park (TRIP), which provides a platform for interaction between researchers and industrial institutions and supports the development of practical solutions that address the needs of Jordan’s industrial sector.
