Within the framework of the German Jordanian University’s approach of direct communication with its academic and administrative staff and the promotion of a collaborative work environment, the University President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, met with members of the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE), in the presence of the Dean of the School, Dr. Omaimah Al-Arja.

During the meeting, Prof. Al-Halhouli affirmed that the university continues its journey toward enhancing academic and research excellence by investing in human capital and developing educational programs in line with global changes and rapid developments across various disciplines. He noted that the School of Architecture and Built Environment represents a distinguished academic model that contributes to strengthening the university’s position at both the local and international levels.

He explained that the upcoming phase requires greater integration between education, scientific research, and innovation, as well as strengthening partnerships with various sectors. This would positively reflect on the quality of educational outcomes and provide students with broader opportunities for creativity, excellence, and competitiveness in the labor market.

Prof. Al-Halhouli also reviewed the university’s efforts to support innovation and entrepreneurship through the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship and the Technology, Research and Innovation Park, emphasizing that the university is steadily advancing toward building an academic environment that fosters knowledge production and the development of applied solutions that serve society and the national economy.

For her part, Dr. Omaimah Al-Arja affirmed that this meeting reflects the university leadership’s commitment to strengthening communication with faculties and listening to their perspectives and aspirations. She noted that the School of Architecture and Built Environment continues to develop its academic and research programs in alignment with the university’s vision and strategic direction.

The meeting featured an open discussion addressing several academic and administrative issues and future development opportunities, in a positive and constructive atmosphere that enhances a culture of institutional collaboration and contributes to achieving the university’s goals and future aspirations.
