The German Jordanian University (GJU) explored ways to expand cooperation in the field of road safety during a meeting that brought together the university’s Road Safety Center of Excellence (RSCE), the Arab Union for Traffic Safety, and the Jordan Traffic Institute, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Lina Ezzat Shbib, President of the Arab Union for Traffic Safety, Lt. Col. Alaa Al-Momani, Director of the Jordan Traffic Institute, and Dr. Omar Al-Batayneh, Director of RSCE.
The meeting focused on several areas of cooperation, including training and capacity building, scientific research, community awareness, and knowledge exchange, in addition to exploring practical partnerships that contribute to supporting national and Arab efforts to reduce traffic accidents and promote a culture of road safety.
The participants also discussed the possibility RSCE joining the Arab Union for Traffic Safety, which would enhance the center’s presence at the Arab level and open the door for further joint initiatives and programs in the future.
This step aligns with the efforts of RSCE to strengthen cooperation with specialized national and Arab institutions and reinforce the role of GJU in supporting road safety initiatives and serving the community.
