The German–Jordanian Initiative for Political Education and Youth Engagement (NextGen GJU) participated in Innovation Day on 3 October 2026, following an invitation from the German Embassy in Amman. The event was held at the residence of the German Ambassador to Jordan and brought together school and university students, youth initiatives, institutions, and visitors.
NextGen GJU was represented by its founder, Ms. Da‘ad Nazzal, along with board members Ali Alrawashdeh, Ammar Almani, Ban Tarawneh, Karmel Kawasmi, and Daoud Qatawneh. Through a series of interactive activities, the team introduced visitors to the initiative’s work in political education, youth engagement, sustainability, comparative learning, and policy thinking.
School and university students took part in activities that encouraged them to discuss public challenges and consider possible policy responses. The booth also featured virtual reality experiences highlighting the Azraq Wetland Reserve in Jordan and the German Bundestag, adding an interactive German–Jordanian dimension to the learning experience.
During the event, H.E. Dr. Bertram von Moltke, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Jordan, and Prof. Dr. Ralf Roßkopf, Vice President for International Affairs, visited the NextGen GJU booth and explored the activities prepared by the team. H.E. Dr. von Moltke also took part in one of the virtual reality experiences.
The participation reflected NextGen GJU’s approach to making political education more practical and participatory by creating opportunities for young people to exchange perspectives, engage with public issues, and connect ideas with action. NextGen GJU extends its appreciation to H.E. Dr. Bertram von Moltke and the German Embassy in Amman for the invitation and warm hospitality.
