Biography

Dr. Nadia AL-Rousan joined German Jordanian University, Amman, Jordan, in October 2023, where she currently serves as a full-time lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering within the School of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. She earned her Ph.D. in 2018 from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), specializing in computer engineering with a major focus on Computational Intelligence. Acknowledging her exceptional Ph.D. research and contributions to the field of computer engineering, Dr. Nadia received an appreciation certificate from USM. She further earned the prestigious Sanggar Sanjung Award in 2019 from USM, recognizing her scholarly works and publications. In 2022, Dr. Nadia was recognized as one of the top ten women worldwide for her contributions to AI inclusion in research by the WomenTech Global community-USA. She was subsequently selected as an Ambassador for the WomenTech Community. In 2023, she was nominated for the China Talent Program, receiving support from the China Government and Industrial Sector fund. Her remarkable research achievements were acknowledged with the Asia Outstanding Research Award. With 12 years of experience in academia, Dr. Nadia has contributed to various universities, including Sohar University, Istanbul Gelisim University, University of Nizwa, Misurata University, Taibah University, and Jordan University of Science and Technology. Her extensive research spans multiple domains, with a primary focus on implementing Artificial Intelligence solutions to address real-time problems. Dr. Nadia has secured numerous national and international research grants and has served as the principal investigator for most of these projects.
