A Word from the President

The German-Jordanian University is a unique university in Jordan that follows the German Fachhochschule model of education. In that, via its structured courses that go hand-in-hand with practical relevance and enhanced embedded training, the university is to produce highly skilled and well-trained cadres and professionals. Subsequently, our graduates will possess the knowledge needed for them to compete for future careers and will, at the same time, be in a position to contribute effectively and efficiently to their country's comprehensive economic and social development. Moreover, the university is keen to serve as a center for the incubation of a multicultural society whereby, international and multinational cultural relations, tolerance, dialogue, rapprochement and mutual understanding are fostered in an environment of open-mindedness, respect for others opinions and appreciation of their differences. The university has established close ties with over 120 German partner universities.

The partner universities host GJU students for one full year. This exposes students to a wide range of scholars, researchers and practitioners from other universities and industries. Since its inception in 2005, the German-Jordanian University has positioned itself as a leader. It has demonstrated a potential in industrial partnership with national and international enterprises. These partnerships will enable the university to offer nontraditional programs with strong theoretical and practical orientation focusing on regional needs for industrialization and technological advancement. As you join our educational community, I invite you not only to work for a degree, but also to ponder the deeper meaning of your presence here.
