The Academy offers this intensive and specialized Energy Efficiency course at the German Jordanian University’s branch, which in turn will help the trainees to obtain the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Energy Efficiency, Management and Energy Auditing.
This course is prepared for accreditation by the Arab German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK); Trainees will acquire the practical skills required for the labor market, which involves becoming accredited in the field of energy efficiency, management and verification, as there will be a final examination to evaluate trainees and give them a certificate of experience.

Dr. Aiman Al-Batayneh: Associate Professor /School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management at the German Jordanian University.
Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia.
PhD in Energy Efficiency and Low Energy Buildings (Minimizing cooling and heating energy consumption) at the University of Newcastle in Australia.
Research Interests: Design areas of low energy solutions, renewable energy systems and energy efficiency. Utilizes modeling and an experimental approach.

Eng. Mohammad Ayyash: Research and Teaching Assistant / School of Applied Technical Sciences. Assistant Director of the International Projects Office at the German Jordanian University.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Al Balqa Applied University.
- Teaching experience in laboratories of engineering drawing, hydraulics, sensors, actuators, design of mechatronics systems, microcontrollers, Internet of things, control laboratory, etc., and supervision of student graduation projects.
- Holds several certificates in specialized training courses in engineering, quality, procurement, and skills development.
- Coordinator and auditor for many international projects at the university.
Eng. Omar Al-Soatari: Research and Teaching Assistant / Faculty of Natural Resources Engineering and Management at the German Jordanian University.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Hashemite University (HU).
- Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Renewable Energy from the German Jordanian University (GJU).
- Teaching experience in mechanical engineering, renewable energy, environment, energy efficiency, and sustainability solutions.
- Holds German accreditation from the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) in the field of energy efficiency.
- Holds several certificates in practical and software training courses in the fields of energy and mechanics, such as PV syst, T*sol, Sketchup, AC and Refrigeration, MATLAB, Homer pro.

Eng. Sana Al-Khatib: Research and Teaching Assistant/ Faculty of Natural Resources Engineering and Management at the German Jordanian University.

Eng. Ahmad Kattan: Research and Teaching Assistant/School of Applied Technical Science at the German Jordanian University.

Eng. Faisal Al-Matar: Research and Teaching Assistant/ School of Applied Technical Sciences at the German Jordanian University.

Eng. Sondos Al-Mashaleh: Research and Teaching Assistant / School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management at the German Jordanian University.

- Practical experience in engineering supervision, projects and operation test supervision.
- Teaching experience Teaching various theoretical and practical courses for engineering students, teaching electrical machinery laboratories and other engineering courses.
- Holds certificates in energy training courses such as (energy storage systems, installation and activation). And in the fields of programming, such as AUTOCAD, the engineering design program Revit MEP, and the fields of electricity.
Target Audience:
The course targets technicians and students of electrical, mechanical and energy engineering.
*Course content will be presented at an introductory level, which is an important first step in preparing any technician or engineer to enter the field of energy efficiency.

Expected Outcomes:
At the end of this course, and in accordance with the Jordanian professional competence standards for the profession of energy auditing and management, participants will be able to:

Training Hours
The total number of course hours is 240 credit hours, with 80 theoretical hours and 160 practical hours (including field visits).
Evaluation Criteria
A certificate of success is awarded based on:
First: Attend at least 80% of the total course time.
Second: Success in the final evaluation.
Time:
The duration of the course is two months, from 9/2/2023 to 27/3/2023, Saturday to Thursday of each week, from 09:00 AM until 03:00 PM.

German Jordanian University - Madaba West Street - Al-Mashqar - Amman.
Cost:
The cost of the course is 1200 JD - fully covered by a grant from the GIZ.
