Do you have an innovative idea, a solution to a real-world problem, or an early-stage startup that you want to develop?

The Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH) at the German Jordanian University is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the German Jordanian University Incubation Program.

The program supports aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage startup teams in transforming promising ideas into validated, scalable, and investment-ready ventures.

Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to:

• German Jordanian University students
• Academic and administrative staff members
• German Jordanian University alumni

The program accommodates applicants through two entry pathways:

• Idea Flow: For individuals or teams with an early-stage idea that requires further problem validation, customer discovery, and business model development.
• MVP/Prototype Flow: For individuals or teams that have already developed a minimum viable product or prototype and are ready to focus on testing, refinement, market validation, and commercialization.

Applicants may apply individually or as part of a team. Teams with complementary technical, business, and operational capabilities are strongly encouraged.

Individuals from outside the university may participate as team members or co-founders. However, the main applicant and official team representative must be affiliated with the German Jordanian University.

What Does the Program Offer?

Selected teams will receive practical support that may include:

• Structured entrepreneurship training
• Individual mentorship and coaching
• Customer discovery and market-validation support
• Business model and value proposition development
• MVP and prototype-development guidance
• Access to DI-TECH spaces, university facilities, and technical resources
• Connections with industry partners, investors, experts, and potential customers
• Pitching, Demo Day, and funding-readiness opportunities
• Potential financial support, subject to evaluation, funding availability, and applicable regulations

Program Stages

The incubation journey is structured into three stages:

Phase I: Training and Validation

Teams validate the problem, customer segment, proposed solution, business assumptions, value proposition, business model, and initial MVP concept.

Phase II: Prototype Development and Pre-Funding

Eligible teams receive specialized mentoring and technical support to develop and test their MVP, conduct pilot activities, and prepare for market entry and funding.

Phase III: Post-Funding and Growth

High-performing startups may receive advanced support related to funding, commercialization, partnerships, market expansion, and scaling.

Advancement between phases depends on the team’s progress, submitted evidence, commitment, and evaluation by the program committee.

Applications will be evaluated based on factors such as:

• Importance and clarity of the problem
• Understanding of the target customer
• Strength and commitment of the team
• Innovativeness and differentiation of the solution
• Technical and commercial feasibility
• Market potential
• Validation readiness or existing validation evidence
• Potential contribution to the university and wider community
• Scalability and growth potential
• Openness to feedback and willingness to learn

Applications from all sectors are welcome, including technology, engineering, sustainability, energy, healthcare, education, financial technology, manufacturing, mobility, social innovation, and other fields.

Participant Commitment

The incubation program is an active startup-development program rather than only a series of training sessions. Selected participants are expected to:

• Attend the required training and mentoring sessions
• Complete and submit the required deliverables
• Conduct customer interviews and market-validation activities
• Demonstrate continuous progress
• Participate actively in evaluations, meetings, and presentations
• Respond constructively to feedback
• Comply with program policies, deadlines, and reporting requirements

Failure to meet attendance, participation, or submission requirements may affect the team’s continuation in the program.

• Direct request through the Deanship
• Open calls for applications announced by the Deanship
• Specialized competitions organized to attract entrepreneurial projects in general or within specific sectors and thematic areas
